Kathmandu— U.S. President Donald Trump announced Saturday that he has agreed to postpone any fresh attacks against Iran, despite earlier reports suggesting imminent military strikes. In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated the U.S. was prepared for significant military engagement but decided to wait after receiving assurances from Iran and other regional nations.
Trump's Military Readiness
In his social media statement, President Trump emphasized the readiness of American forces, declaring that the United States is 'locked and loaded' with military capabilities not seen since World War II. He warned that any decision to hold off on an attack was contingent upon rapid progress in negotiations.
Iran's Response
In response to potential U.S. aggression, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi issued a warning against 'adventurous' actions by the United States. According to Iran’s semi-official Mehr news agency, Araghchi stated that those responsible for any such moves would face serious consequences.
