Kathmandu— A 20-year-old Indian pilgrim named Adarsha Kumar Jha from Hajirpur, Bihar, drowned in the Telha pond near the Janaki Temple in Janakpurdham late on August 5. Local youths rescued Jha immediately after the incident and rushed him to the provincial hospital in Janakpurdham, but he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
Rescue Efforts
Local residents quickly responded to the emergency and pulled Jha out of the pond. He was then promptly taken to the nearby provincial hospital in Janakpurdham for medical assistance.
DSP Madhu Sudan Neupane, spokesperson for the District Police Office in Dhanusha, confirmed that despite immediate rescue efforts and subsequent treatment at the hospital, Jha could not be saved.
