Kathmandu— On Wednesday, the Ministry of Commerce announced that China will strengthen export controls on drone-related dual-use items destined for the United States. The new measures aim to protect national security and comply with international commitments such as non-proliferation agreements. Exports of drones, their key components, and related technologies listed under China's dual-use export control list will now undergo stringent case-by-case reviews.
Enhanced Export Review Process
The new regulations stipulate that all exports of drone-related items to the U.S. must be subject to rigorous case-by-case review, meaning each transaction will require individual scrutiny and approval from Chinese authorities. This process is designed to ensure compliance with national security policies and international agreements.
