Kathmandu— Tribhuvan University (TU) is working on formulating new policies and programs aimed at enhancing the effectiveness, convenience, and transparency of its services. The discussions took place during a meeting of the university’s planning council's standing committee, focusing on priorities for the fiscal year 2083/084.
Improving Quality Across All Areas
During the meeting, Vice Chancellor Prof. Bhola Thapa emphasized the need to prioritize improvements in education quality, administration, and research. He highlighted that these areas are crucial for the university's overall performance and reputation.
Dr. Laxmikant Sharma, Director of the Planning Directorate and Secretary of the Planning Council, presented detailed information about the main topics and priorities included in the upcoming policies and programs.
Engaging Stakeholders
The meeting also saw active participation from other members who shared their insights on how to make the policies timely, high-quality, and technology-friendly. Suggestions raised during the discussion will be compiled and presented at the upcoming Tribhuvan University senate through a full meeting of the Planning Council.
