Kathmandu— Deepmala Dhakal was crowned Miss Nepal World 2026 on Saturday during a grand finale in Pulchowk, Lalitpur. She outperformed 23 other finalists to win one of Nepal’s most prestigious beauty pageants organized by The Hidden Treasure. Dhakal will now represent Nepal at the Miss World international pageant.

Winning Titles

At the same event, Kashis Subba was crowned Miss Nepal Cosmo 2026 and Arya Nishaant won the title of Miss Nepal International 2026. The competition saw participants from various backgrounds showcasing their talents and achievements.

Deepmala's Background

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Deepmala Dhakal is a graduate of the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor’s degree in economics. She works as an investment strategist at BlackRock and holds a taekwondo black belt. Additionally, she is a marathon runner.

Prior to winning Miss Nepal World 2026, Dhakal had already earned recognition as Miss Nepal Hong Kong International 2026.

Inspiration and Gratitude

Deepmala expressed her gratitude towards the organizers, judges, supporters, and especially her family. She mentioned that her mother, who participated in the first Miss Nepal pageant in 1994, has been her biggest inspiration.
