Kathmandu— In a move to enhance public safety and social harmony, the Saptari District Administration in Nepal has lifted curfew restrictions in Rajbiraj and Bodebarsain municipalities. Instead, prohibitory orders have been enforced, banning gatherings of more than five people until further notice. The decision was made during a meeting of the District Security Committee.

Prohibitory Order Details

Chief District Officer Shyam Krishna Thapa announced that the prohibitory order is in place under Section 6(3A) of the Local Administration Act, 2028 BS. The new directive bans all public gatherings, assemblies, sit-ins, and demonstrations involving more than five individuals to prevent potential unrest and maintain stability.

The DAO has emphasized the importance of compliance with these orders, urging citizens to remain cooperative and patient in support of the district administration's efforts.
