Kathmandu— Congress Member of Parliament (MP) Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah to address the Lok Sabha and take responsibility for any wrongdoings related to the alleged police actions during the July 20 attempted march to Parliament. The call came as the Lok Sabha was adjourned until noon amid opposition protests over issues including the NEET paper leak and Ram temple donation theft.

Opposition Protests

The Lok Sabha has been adjourned due to ongoing protests by opposition members over several contentious issues, including the alleged NEET paper leak and the Ram temple donation theft. Amid these disruptions, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra emphasized that Amit Shah should come forward and make a statement in Parliament regarding any misconduct during the police actions on July 20.

Congress Leader's Event

Rahul Gandhi's 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' event, scheduled for August 8 in Prayagraj, faced initial uncertainty when KP College revoked permission to use its sports ground. However, the cancellation has been revoked by the administration, allowing the Congress leader to proceed with his public interaction program.

Speaker's Appeal

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla appealed to opposition members to allow the House to function and adhere to parliamentary decorum. He invoked Mahatma Gandhi and BR Ambedkar, urging members to strengthen democracy through discussions and dialogues.
