Kathmandu— As of today morning, the national disaster risk reduction and management authority (NDRRMA) reported that 11,514 individuals have been rescued from the flash flood-hit area in Nepal. The death toll stands at 987, while 3,916 people remain missing. A total of 21,011 security personnel, including 9,996 Nepali Army members, 7,912 Nepal Police officers, and 4,203 Armed Police Force (APF) personnel, have been mobilized for search and rescue operations.

Rescue Operations Underway

The ongoing rescue efforts are extensive, with a significant number of security forces deployed to assist those affected by the flash flood. Among the rescued individuals, 253 are foreign nationals. The authorities continue to search for the missing and provide aid to survivors.

Casualties and Injuries

The disaster has resulted in a high number of casualties with 987 deaths confirmed so far. Additionally, there have been 279 injuries reported, though 168 individuals have already been discharged from hospitals.
