Kathmandu— A second batch of emergency relief supplies from China arrived in Nepal today, including five DNA experts and essential equipment such as drones and DNA testing instruments. The supplies landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on a Y-20 large transport aircraft operated by the Chinese Air Force around 5:30 pm local time. This aid comes in response to the flash floods that hit Nepal on August 26, with the relief items tailored to meet Nepal's urgent needs.

Handover Ceremony

The handover ceremony for the relief supplies was attended by Zhang Maoming, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, and Mahabir Pun, Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation. Both officials welcomed the arrival of the Chinese experts who will assist in disaster recovery efforts.

Types of Relief Supplies

The relief supplies include items such as drones, DNA testing instruments and reagents, water purification equipment, and lighting devices. These items are critical for search and rescue operations and aiding the affected communities in the flood-hit areas.
