Kathmandu— Prime Minister Balendra Shah informed today's meeting of the House of Representatives that the landslide-damaged Krishnabhir section of the Prithvi Highway, located in Mugling–Naubise, will resume operations by the end of September. The road was blocked due to a landslide caused by erosion beneath the Trishuli River.

Road Reopening Plans

Prime Minister Shah stated that the landslide at Krishnabhir will be cleared and the road rebuilt, ensuring it becomes operational within this month. This announcement comes amid news reports suggesting that the process could take several months.

Flood Damage in Other Regions

In addition to the Prithvi Highway update, Prime Minister Shah informed parliament about severe flooding from the Bhotekoshi to the Trishuli River. The flood caused extensive damage in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading.
