Kathmandu December 23.As many as 34,000 members of general public have been benefited from a 10-day free health camp including surgical service at Sonama rural municipality-3, Khakahana in Mahottari. Nepal Army had conducted the health camp on 13-22 December on the premises of Khakhana secondary school. On the occasion, Brigadier General of the Nepal Army Dr Devendra Bahadur Khatry shared 17,973 women and 14,164 men received general check-up and surgery service from the camp. Total 329 service recipients including 193 men and 136 women received surgical services while medicines worth amounting to Rs 6 million were distributed to the patients. Camp’s information officer major Nabin Kunwar said high quality health service was provided to the people. In the concluding day, State-3 Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut extended thanks to the Nepal Army for providing health services to the disadvantaged groups in their doorsteps. NA had mobilized 60 specialist doctors and 105 health workers to render the service to a large number of the people. Patients from Sarlahi, Dhanusha, Siraha, Rautahat, Sindhuli and Saptari received treatment in the camp. On the occasion, member of the House of Representatives Dr Surendra Kumar Yadav and State Assembly-2 member Kaushal Kumar Yadav appreciated the service provided by the Nepal Army.
