Kathmandu, Jan 7: A total of 21 officials from Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has been receiving training on ‘prevention of fraud, bribery and corruption ‘ at Gujrat Forensic Science University of Gujrat, India. The six-day training to the second batch of the CIAA officials began yesterday. The first batch had attended similar training three weeks back. Experienced faculty members in the University are providing the training to Nepali officials. The training is expected to whet the investigation process with new thoughts and experience. It is a special course designed after the Nepal government’s request. The training focuses identification of causes behind corruption, its impact on economy and measures to prevent it. It is the IT-based training course, which is believed to sharpen analytical skills of the attending officials. The training is being conducted with the technical and economic assistance of India’s Ministry of External Affairs.
