Chief of Bagmati state, Bishnu Prasad Prasain, has said that major political parties should stand together to establish good governance in the country. Inaugurating the second anniversary of state government here today, Prasain said, “Major political parties should united together to end corruption as well as to establish good governance for the development and prosperity of the country.” He stressed that the state government should coordinate and collaborate with all sides to forward the development construction activities as per people’s wish. On the occasion, Chief Minister Dormani Poudel mentioned that arrangement has been made for assigning a nurse at least one community school at 119 local levels of the state. He further said that preparation was underway to run ‘Chief Minister Model Programme’ in 13 districts of the state with high priority of expanding agriculture, tourism and industry. The Chief Minister said that the state government has also given priority to development of agriculture, industry, forest, health, education, drinking water, electricity sectors as road is not the only infrastructure of the development. Saying the state assembly has passed 51 different bills and 48, out of the 51, have been certified, Speaker Sanu Kumar Shrestha stressed the need of brining integrated for the peace, security, good governance and economic prosperity. Similarly, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Shalikram Jammakattel, said that the state government was active to bring different projects related to road network, agriculture, land reform as well as national pride projects into implementation by utilizing limited resources of the state. State Chief Prasain and Chief Minister Poudel honoured best rural municipality chiefs of Dolakha, Sindhupalchowk, Ramechhap, Dhading and Makawanpur districts and mayor of Madi municipality of Chitwan district with cash and letter of appreciation. Similarly, Makawanpur correspondent of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), Ripesh Dahal, was honoured with Rs 25,000 and letter of felicitation. Twenty employees of different offices under the state government were also honoured with cash and certificates. State chief Prasain released Bagmati state government’s two-year action plan book, published by the government.
