Kathmandu— On August 2, a shooting incident occurred at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries. The suspected shooter was among the dead, but police are still investigating the identity and motive of the gunman. The shooting took place near a busy shopping area where hundreds of people were present.
Police Investigation Ongoing
Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks provided an update during a news conference, stating that authorities are working to determine the exact number of fatalities and the shooter's identity. Local media reported video footage showing what appeared to be a young man carrying a long gun outside the restaurant. The In-N-Out location in Twin Falls had only been open for one week at the time of the incident.
"We are trying to ascertain his identity and the motivations behind this shooting, and we'll have more information in the coming days," Hicks said.
Victims Treated at Local Hospital
Multiple people were hospitalized following the shooting. Taylor Marschner, a spokesperson for St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center, confirmed that the hospital was working closely with law enforcement and emergency responders to manage the situation. KTVB reported three fatalities and two injuries, but city officials expect the number of victims to be higher.
