Kathmandu— A man carrying ammunition and a gun was arrested Sunday at Donald Trump’s Los Angeles-area golf course after appearing to monitor security preparations ahead of an upcoming fundraiser. Jeanine John Taele, 38, had a loaded magazine in his pocket and a badge that read 'security protection agent,' while his pickup truck contained a loaded pistol, binoculars, and other items.

Security Concerns Evident

The arrest raised serious concerns among law enforcement officials. Patrick Grandy, the assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Los Angeles office, stated that Taele's behavior 'raised serious red flags.' This comes after a series of security incidents involving President Trump, including an assassination attempt at his Florida country club last year and another near-miss during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

Extensive Search Reveals More Weapons

Following the arrest, law enforcement searched Taele’s home in Downey on Monday. The search uncovered additional firearms, magazines, ammunition, body armor, and notebooks with 'concerning statements.' No further details about these statements were provided by authorities.

Taele was charged with several felonies including second-degree robbery, receiving a large-capacity magazine, and possession of a short-barreled rifle or shotgun. He pleaded not guilty to all charges on Monday.
