Kathmandu— US rapper Kanye West, known as Ye, is scheduled to perform two concerts at Gazprom Arena in St. Petersburg, Russia on October 10 and 11. The performances come after a series of cancellations across Europe stemming from the artist’s contentious statements regarding Israel and Adolf Hitler. The shows will be part of his 'Ye Live Concert Tour 2026' supporting his twelfth album, *Bully*, making him one of the few major Western artists to perform in Russia since the start of the Ukraine conflict in February 2022.
Controversial Remarks and European Bans
West previously visited Moscow in June 2024 to attend the birthday party of Gosha Rubchinsky, a designer with whom he collaborated on his Yeezy clothing brand. However, Rubchinsky severed ties with West the following year.
The upcoming Russian performances are being organized by SAY Agency and confirmed by West’s producer, Joseph Karre, who announced the dates on social media.
West has apologized for some of his past actions, attributing them to bipolar disorder and “poor judgment and reckless behavior.” The concerts in Russia will proceed despite ongoing international scrutiny surrounding his controversial statements.
