Kathmandu November 28 .Preparation for the by-election to be held in Kaski District Constituency No. 2 has been almost over. Voting for the by-election is taking place on November 30. Employees with ballot boxes and the election materials and security personnel have been assigned at all the 82 polling centres in the constituency, Chief of the District Election Office Kaski, Mahendra Raj Subedi, said. The team along with the returning officer that has been deputed has already distributed the voter identity cards to the new voters who have been registered since 2074 BS and those whose names were missing but were eligible for voting. Five persons including one returning officer, one assistant returning officer, two office assistants and one assistant have been assigned at every voting centre. They will also be assisted by four volunteers as well. The silent period has started since 12 last night. According to the District Election Office Chief Subedi, no complaints of breach of the silence period have been received so far. Vehicles except used for essential services banned on day of election Meanwhile, the District Administration Office Kaski has prohibited the operation of vehicles except those used for emergency and very urgent work in Kaski Constituency No. 2 on November 30, the day of the by-election. The prohibition will be valid from 12 on the night of November 29 till the election is concluded. Ambulances, mortuary vans, fire trucks, drinking water carrying tankers, telecommunication, electricity and hospital services and vehicles which have been issued with passes for election purpose will be allowed to operate, stated a notice issued by the District Administration Office Kaski.
