Kathmandu— Three people were injured on Wednesday when a passenger bus lost control and overturned at Charkhole Golai in Sugurigadhi Rural Municipality-6 of Nepal’s Dhankuta district. The bus, registered with the number Ko 1 Kha 5105, was en route to Therhathum from Dharan when the incident occurred on the roadside. Authorities have transported the injured individuals to BPKIHS for medical attention.

Details of the Accident

The bus overturned at Charkhole Golai, a location within Sugurigadhi Rural Municipality-6 in Dhankuta district. The vehicle was traveling between Dharan and Therhathum when the incident took place. No immediate details regarding the cause of the overturn were released.

Injuries and Medical Response

According to Hemant Bhadari Chhetri, DSP and spokesperson for the Dhankuta district police office, all three injured passengers have been sent to BPKIHS – a major hospital in Nepal – for treatment. He indicated that their conditions were stable.

The investigation into the cause of the bus overturning is ongoing.
