Trump Declares Iran ‘Dead’, Vows to Respond After Clashes

ABC NEWS

Kathmandu— President Donald Trump has declared that Iran is “dead” and vowed to respond forcefully following renewed clashes. The flare-up began when the US military targeted launchers on Larak Island, prompting Iran to retaliate by launching missiles at a base in Jordan that hosts US troops. Trump called for Iranian leaders to be tried for war crimes against humanity amid ongoing protests.

Trump's Claims and Vows

In his latest social media post, Trump declared Iran “officially a Failed Nation,” stating it has no navy or air force, its currency is in disarray, inflation is at 300%, and the leadership is incapable of representing the country. He also accused Iranian leaders of killing over 100,000 protesters and vowed to hit them hard.

Recent Clashes

The recent clash began when US forces targeted launchers on Larak Island, which were allegedly preparing to fire naval mines at the Strait of Hormuz. Iran retaliated by launching missiles at a base in Jordan that hosts US troops, marking the first round of fighting since July.

Humanitarian Impact

The conflict has taken a heavy toll on civilians. An attack on Minab, southern Iran, hit a girls’ school, killing 168 people, mostly children. Iranian authorities have put the total death toll from protests at 3,117, including security forces.
