Guangzhou Baiyun Xuanji Technology Industry Investment Co., Ltd. is at the forefront of embodied intelligence, working on a robot dog designed specifically for firefighting scenarios. The company integrates advanced sensors and algorithms to detect sparks and navigate hazardous environments autonomously. “Our goal is to get robots into real production and living scenarios,” said Lu Zhicong, deputy general manager of the company.

Global Expansion and Market Growth

Li-Gong Industrial’s robot workstations at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference showcased smart retail solutions and intelligent sorting systems. The company has developed a data capture kit that records fine hand movements, enabling robots to replicate complex tasks like applying sealant or assembly. “Robot orders are currently booked through October,” said Cao Yuran, senior marketing manager at Li-Gong Industrial, noting the rapid growth in overseas markets.

Government Support and Policy Initiatives

The Chinese government is actively supporting embodied intelligence development through various initiatives. The Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee emphasized the need to accelerate the building of a modern industrial system, strengthen support for basic research, and foster new forms of intelligent economy. In Shenzhen’s Pingshan district, local authorities have facilitated real-world use cases and provided space for companies like 1024 Robotics to test their autonomous logistics robots.

Market Expansion and Technological Advancements

China's embodied intelligence market has seen significant growth, expanding from approximately 213.3 billion yuan in 2018 to an estimated 1.09 trillion yuan by 2026, with a compound annual growth rate of 22-23 percent. Wei Kai, an AI expert at the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, highlighted that China’s rich application scenarios and massive real-world data sources provide a large-scale testing ground for embodied intelligence technologies.
