Kathmandu— As early counting results from the Bankipur assembly by-election showed a lead for Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor, Bihar Minister Shrawon Kumar dismissed this as an insignificant trend. The ruling NDA remains confident that once all rounds of counting are completed, they will emerge victorious.
NDA's Confidence in Final Outcome
Shrawon Kumar told reporters that the early trends do not reflect the final outcome and that the NDA is still optimistic about winning. 'When the results are declared after 31 rounds of counting, then it will be known whether my claim was hollow or weighty,' he said. He emphasized that his party's work for the people of Bihar gives them confidence in their victory.
Jan Suraaj Party's Perspective
Manoj Bharti, president of Jan Suraaj Party in Bihar, expressed gratitude to voters for choosing change and supporting Prashant Kishor. 'Across the lines, Prashant ji has received support,' he said. However, Bharti also alleged that BJP and local administration used intimidation tactics against voters.
