Kathmandu— On Tuesday, August 4, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary Party is scheduled to hold its weekly 'Mangal Milan' meeting in New Delhi. The gathering at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium inside the Parliament Library Building will begin at 9:30 AM and feature addresses from key ministers on various national issues.

Addressing FTAs and Fisheries

Union Minister of Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal is expected to discuss the success and strategic impact of India's recent Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). Meanwhile, Union Minister for Panchayati Raj and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Rajiv Ranjan Singh will address the growth and future roadmap for the country’s fisheries sector. Both ministers have previously spoken on these topics at earlier 'Mangal Milan' meetings.

Opposition Demands Accountability

The opposition, led by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, has been demanding answers from the government regarding police actions against protesters and the embezzlement case involving donations to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. Kharge posted on X that the Modi government must explain the use of lathi-charge and pellet guns during a protest led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on July 20, as well as address how donations to the Shri Ram Mandir Trust were allegedly stolen while under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s oversight. Opposition MPs have staged protests in Parliament questioning the absence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah from the House.
